The foremost challenge for the artist is to “see” one’s own work. The primary reward of artistic endeavor is self elucidation. It is necessary the artist understand the motives and effects of her efforts. Delusion and self denial are the enemy of self expression. Subject matter are visions presented. Media are the avenues of expression. Different media provide alternate views of the chosen subject matter.

Alternate presentations promote greater understanding of one’s vision. Back Yard Solar System was a result of some research concerning "String Theory" and the possibility of alternate universes. With the realization that my understanding of the theory was as primitive as the materials I had, my creation took form.
